Hyderabad: As one of the principal venues of the Flamingo Festival, on the festival’s second day, Sri City and Krea University, in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department, organised ‘Coffee with Corporate’, an interactive dialogue with CXOs and senior executives from industries operating in Sri City.

Led by C Selvam, IFS, Conservator of Forests, Tirupati Circle, the session brought together Dr Ajit Kumar Pattnaik, IFS (Retd.), Chilika Development Authority; Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City; and Dr Sathiya Selvam, Deputy Director, Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS). Discussions focused on strengthening industry participation in environmental stewardship, biodiversity conservation, and protection of Pulicat Lake.

Selvam, commended Sri City management for its steadfast commitment to keeping the region ‘green’ through proactive and innovative conservation measures. He underscored the vital importance of consistent industry support in striking a meaningful balance between ambitious business objectives and long term environmental responsibility.

Dr Ravindra Sannareddy underscored Sri City’s dedication to balancing industrial growth with ecological responsibility by nurturing only non-polluting industries and adopting sustainability measures. He emphasised that the Flamingo Festival serves as a powerful reminder of the collective and continuous efforts required to safeguard natural treasures such as Pulicat Lake, in line with Sri City’s vision for a sustainable future. Dr Sannareddy called upon the industrial fraternity to make annual CSR contributions toward conservation and urged the Forest Department to engage corporates more frequently, fostering active collaboration in environmental stewardship.
